Baby is the size of a: Pumpkin (sure feels like it!)
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Tired, anxious and uncomfortable but really trying to enjoy these last few days just Kev and I :)
Maternity clothes: Dresses are the most comfortable now, but I only have two haha
Sleep: Not that great again, lots of tossing and turning still and lower back pains.
Best moment this week: Getting outside in the sunshine! It makes me so excited for when our baby girl will be here and we can go on lots of walks around the neighborhood.
Worst moment this week: Acid reflux coming back, ugh.
Miss anything: Sitting on our porch with a nice cold beer in my hand :)
Movement: Rolling and sticking her legs out.
Cravings: Slushies and Tim Hortons Iced Cappucino, so good!
Queasy or sick: Neither.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Cutest little pink shoes that were only 4 bucks, how could I not get them ;)
Looking forward to: My appointment tomorrow, I'm gonna bug them about how much she weighs, I'm so curious!

Baby is the size of a: Winter melon
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Ready to head to the hospital..now that she is technically full term it could happen any day now, and I'm definitely feeling like I'm ready for that ;)
Maternity clothes: My belly is starting to peak out under a majority of my shirts!
Sleep: Very strange dreams lately plus tossing and turning makes for restless nights, but I better get use to that.
Best moment this week: Reaching full term, so excited!
Worst moment this week: Getting tired/sore so easily from cleaning. It's so frustrating! Of course I'm nesting like crazy but can't push it...which Kev has reminded me many times.
Miss anything: Looking down and seeing my legs and toes :P Big ol belly in the way.
Movement: She's still carrying away like crazy in there. Lately she has been hiccuping a lot which is so funny to feel.
Cravings: Iced coffee.
Queasy or sick: Thankfully the acid reflux has stopped (for now!).
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: We picked up a few more things for her nursery which is thiiiis close to being done, fingers crossed I can take some pics this weekend to post.
Looking forward to: Tomorrow, it's officially May! Such an exciting month between Mother's Day, family birthdays and meeting our little peanut.
Next appointment: Friday

Baby is the size of a: Canary melon
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Anxious, we are ready to meet our baby girl!
Maternity clothes: I've had enough of them.
Sleep: Sleep isn't too bad, it's the rolling over in the middle of the night that is rough.
Best moment this week: Scheduling weekly appointments, we are getting that much closer!
Worst moment this week: Having a breakdown over the debacle of my Easter breakfast plan. It really wasn't that big of deal but those darn hormones!
Miss anything: Beer, especially after seeing a new combo pack of spring/summer shandys.. yum! Also being able to move like I use to..bending over to pick things up or take the laundry out of the dryer has been quiet the task haha.
Movement: She's gotta be running out of room but that doesn't stop her from rolling and kicking at all hours :)
Cravings: Flavored water with ice cubes, I just love chewing on ice cubes lately.
Queasy or sick: A little bit of acid reflux here and there but nothing major.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Well with all the Easter sales last week I had to pick up at least one cute romper for the little one ;)
Looking forward to: Meeting our peanut soon.
Next appointment: Thursday

Baby is the size of a: Hot air balloon (jk honeydew melon!)
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Ok. Baby girl is feelin heavy on my body, so I'm starting to get back aches but it's worth it :) I've also noticed that Braxton Hicks contractions are becoming more frequent.
Maternity clothes: Bring on the maxi dresses! My maternity jeans are starting to get uncomfortable.
Sleep: It varies...some nights I have hip pains and toss and turn like crazy but other nights I pass right out and don't wake up until my alarm goes off in the morning.
Best moment this week: Enjoying some sunshine in North Carolina. It was just what I needed before coming back home and thinking of all the things we have to get done before the little one is here. Only 6 more weeks! (Fingers crossed!)
Worst moment this week: Riding in a car for a total of 27 hours over 6 days. Not fun at 7+ months pregnant but we made it!
Miss anything: Energy and being able to cross my legs for an extended period of time :) It's funny the little things you don't think about that change.
Movement: Lots that make my whole stomach move. She will also roll herself around so that her butt is sticking right out making my stomach tighten up, it's very strange! But cute.
Cravings: Sweets still and back to chinese food again. I had the great idea of having cinnamon sugar on my toast this morning... I can't remember the last time I've had that and I think that may stick around for a bit ;)
Queasy or sick: No sickness here.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: I've held off on getting anything lately.
Looking forward to: This weekend with more sunshine and warm weather. It'll be nice to finish up the nursery and get outside to work on the house.
Next appointment: Next Thursday

Baby is the size of a: Squash
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Pretty good for being this far along
Maternity clothes: Yes, and adding more and more of Kev's tshirts into my at-home wardrobe ;)
Sleep: Much better over the past week. We bought a firmer mattress, for a few reasons, and that definitely seems to be helping.
Best moment this week: My baby shower and making progress on baby girl's nursery. I am so grateful for everything my family and best friends did to put the shower together, it was perfect! I had such a great time seeing everyone too, this little one sure has a lot of love in her life already. As for the nursery, the crib and a few other things have been setup and it looks adorable. Tango isn't too happy that it's no longer his room but we have found other spots for him to enjoy. I'll post pictures of the nursery in the next couple weeks once we get some finishing touches done :)
Worst moment this week: No complaints over here!
Miss anything: Knowing how much room I take up haha I've had a few instances of bumping into things in stores and at home because I forget how much space I take up now :P
Movement: I can tell she is running out of room in there, I'm getting more jabs and harder kicks.
Cravings: Donuts! SO good right now, especially the custard creme filled ones with chocolate icing and sprinkles.
Queasy or sick: Neither which has been so nice.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Over the weekend we got to stop into Babies R Us and pick up a few things off the registry thanks to a couple gift cards we received.
Looking forward to: North Carolina this upcoming weekend! Last trip of just Kev and I for awhile and it'll be nice to get away for a few days, enjoy some warm weather, spend time with friends and celebrate a wedding! Don't worry mom I will be coming back still pregnant ;)
Next appointment: Tomorrow!

Feeling: Pretty good for the most part, a little tired and anxious but that's nothing new.
Maternity clothes: Yes, but really missing pre-preggo clothes, especially with all the spring and summer stuff in stores now.
Sleep: Some nights aren't bad, some nights are rough...especially when a certain someone has late night dance parties :)
Best moment this week: Getting our stroller in the mail, it's really happening! ;)
Worst moment this week: I know I sound like a broken record but we got more snow. I'm ready to get outside, I'm getting stir crazy. I can't wait till AP is here and we can go on long walks in the warm weather... soon enough!
Miss anything: Flats! I'm sick of wearing boots and sneakers are not easy to put on right now. Snow go away! .
Movement: Lots. And I've been able to see her roll around in there which is pretty cool.
Cravings: Nothing new to add to the mix
Queasy or sick: Feeling good!
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Crazy 8 had a great sale going on today so I couldn't pass it up, I swear ;)

Baby is the size of a: Four navel oranges (Interesting!)
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Not bad, tired but it's bearable.
Maternity clothes: Leggings at home, jeans in public. Come on warmer weather!
Sleep: It's been a rough week between Kev being out of town and middle of the night hunger pains.
Best moment this week: Having a mostly relaxing weekend with the hubby and Tango, we've been on the go for awhile so it was nice to just hang out at home. Oh and hitting the 30 week mark! Soon we will be in single digit countdown weeks, uh oh! ;)
Worst moment this week: Snowstorm Vulcan! Almost 18 inches of snow in less than 24 hours was not fun.
Miss anything: A green beer today, I guess green milk will suffice ;)
Movement: Lots and I've been able to record some videos of it which is so fun to watch. Drinking a cold glass of water definitely gets her movin'.
Cravings: Still on the sweets train, and I really can't get enough cereal. I could have it for every meal if I could!
Queasy or sick: Nope!
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: I haven't bought anything but we did get some nice gifts from friends and relatives.
Looking forward to: My shower on Sunday!! I'm SO excited to see everyone and see what a fantastic job my family and friends did putting it together :)

Baby is the size of a: Acorn Squash

Sleep: Better this week than last thankfully :)

Best moment this week: Having 40 degree weather and sunshine. It's amazing how much of a better mood it puts me in, especially when I'm so tired.
Worst moment this week: Dropping Kev off at the airport. It'll be a long week without him, and having crazy hormones doesn't help that haha
Miss anything: I could really go for a mimosa right now!
Movement: She is so active but I love it.
Cravings: Sweets still..donuts, cereal, sprite, fruit flavored water.
Queasy or sick: Not lately.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Nothing recently, I'm exercising lots of control!

Baby is the size of a: Eggplant

Feeling: Big, the next 12 weeks or so are going to be fun ;) Trying to get off the couch is starting to become an adventure, Kev likens it to a turtle stuck on it's back... so true that I can't help but laugh :)
Maternity clothes: Yep, and just purchased a dress for the baby shower in a few weeks. Can't wait!
Sleep: It's been rough, I can't seem to get comfortable and middle of the night dance parties are the norm.
Best moment this week: Hitting the third trimester mark!
Worst moment this week: Getting the stomach bug, that was a rough night and next day. But thankfully it didn't linger.
Miss anything: Sleep
Movement: Lots and lots. And she somehow knows right when I lay down to go to sleep for the night, that's her time to kick like crazy.
Cravings: Flavored water still, and donuts. I'm definitely guilty of picking up a donut or two on my grocery runs for a snack in the car during the drive home haha!
Queasy or sick: Just the one night but not at all aside from that.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Nada believe it or not!
Looking forward to: Next doctors appointment, love hearing the heartbeat.

Baby is the size of a: Rutabaga

Maternity clothes: Yep! but I had to add regular clothes back into the mix... Kev's t-shirts for around the house :( My belly hanging out of my own t-shirts wasn't very flattering ;)

Best moment this week: Finding out our little girl is going to have another little girl to grow up with! We're so excited!

Cravings: Tim Horton's white hot chocolate and flavored water.
Queasy or sick: Neither.
Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Nothing new for me, but for gifts yes!

missed a week, blame it on baby brain! ;)

Baby is the size of a: Head of Lettuce
Gender: Girl
Feeling: Good for the most part. I've been having some back pains lately but it's been bearable.
Maternity clothes: Of course, but I'm sick of sweaters..when will Spring come?!
Sleep: Okay. I frequently wake up to switch laying from one side to the other but I fall back asleep pretty quickly.
Best moment this week: Working on the shower invites.. getting super excited for the shower in a few weeks!
Worst moment this week: Making yummy peanut butter oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies and not being able to taste the batter :( Time to find some egg-less cookie recipes.
Miss anything: My patience haha and being able to easily tie my sneakers and bowling shoes. I'm so happy I'll be able to wear flats when there is a bigger belly in the way.
Movement: Baby girl is VERY active. Early in the morning, late at night and lots of times throughout the day. And I finally got it on video :)
Cravings: Sweets still... I have to have something sweet after every snack/meal. Fingers crossed I pass this glucose test!

Worst moment this week: Having more cold weather, I'm ready to break out the spring maternity clothes!  Miss anything: Coffee whenever I want. I have a cup here and there when I know it's going to be a long day but I miss the mixed coffees with espresso and just being able to have as much as I want. Movement: Lots. One night the way she was positioned, and kicking at the same time, was making me very uncomfortable. Guess I need to get use to that!
Cravings: Sweets in general.
Queasy or sick: Still feelin good. Baby items I couldn't resist buying: Nothing in the past few days but a friend dropped off the cutest Syracuse onesies for the little miss. I can't wait to see her in them.

Nursery Plans

I'm so excited to get moving on the nursery, can you tell?! :) I've always known that whether we had a boy or a girl I wanted their nursery to be charming and sophisticated. Here is what I've come up with so far for the little miss... which of course it might change but I'm loving the mix so far!

1) I was so happy when my mom and I found this petal fabric at Joann's, it has all the colors I want to work with. I'm planning on making curtains with this fabric, possibly adding some pom-pom trim, as a way to tie everything in the room together.

2) We haven't decided yet if we are painting the room, but if we do I would love to go with an off-white color like this Benjamin Moore Sugar Cookie.

3) For some reason it was so hard for me to decide on crib sheets. We ended up registering for navy blue as from the beginning I wanted to tie navy into the room somehow, and I think this will do the trick!

4) For wall decor I would love to get this mirror to hang above the changing table/dresser and I'm hoping to have a small gallery wall above the crib. This print must be in it!

5) Of course there can never be enough storage so I think grabbing at least one of these baskets to throw baby girl's blankets etc in would add some texture to the room.

6) THE coral dresser. As soon as I saw a nursery on Pinterest with a coral dresser I knew I had to replicate it. We are now on the hunt for a can or two of Coral Gables by Benjamin Moore.

I'm hoping that a rocker with upholstered curtains that my Grandma is making will fit right in and I still need to find a side table and lamp for the room. Oh and our crib is going to be white. I can't wait to see it all come together!

Sleep: Not too bad.. some hip pain still every once in awhile but it's bearable.

Worst moment this week: Nothing!

Miss anything: Beer. Shock Top has a new "Chocolate Wheat" that I'm dying to have, of course it's only for the holidays, so I'm sure I'll be all over it next year.
Movement: Lots of kicks now...before it was mostly a flutter here and there but she has been dancin up in my storm in the morning and late at night. Kev has gotten to feel it a few times! She was quiet the showoff at the ultrasound :)
Cravings: Still on the chocolate milk kick, and it didn't help that I found CHOCOLATE Lucky Charms the other day. Kev laughed that I found it in a Family Size box, but the little miss wanted some too ;)
